Default My Spotting/chasing vehicle

Hey everybody, I haven't been on here in a while. So i thought I'd post pics of my new rig. It's a 1993 Ford explorer 4x4.

Inside the truck I have a Yaesu FT-1500M, Yaesu FT-7900R, and a Uniden BC350 scanner.

Now, This is not a thread to argue about strobe lights. It's my choice to have them, Not yours. So please keep the bickering out of here.

Nice and low key but gets the job done nicely.

Doesn't look like something from a parade or a fire house.

The Explorers make a great Tracker ride.

Tim

Couple of pics of mine...same..low key..
It now longer has the Skywarn place bracket.
Didn't like the blazing orange.
The laptop now has a mount and Samsung I5.

I don't know about MI But in Minnesota you can not drive with them on but you can be parked with them on.

Also, Nice car WX9TRS. It almost looks like a normal fusion, except for the two huge antennas on the trunk...lol

why 2 VHF radiios??

I have 2, 2 meter radios in the shack, but I use one for a dedicated public service scanner (it's a spare radio).
do you monitor, talk on 2 freq's at the same time while spotting??? that would make sense. one "official freq" and one talk-around .... just thinking outloud here.

Wish I had the 4x4 part though. A friend of mine has an explorer
and does well when out tracking.

Yes, We use a repeter for the skywarn net and a simplex for spotter to spotter chit chat.
